Love Island star reveals she’s been ‘in hell with pain’ after shock health diagnosis
LOVE Island star Megan Barton Hanson has opened up to fans about her health, saying: “The last five days have been hell”.
She believes that she’s encountered Pelvic Inflammatory Disease for the first time.
On an Instagram story she said: “Which one of my queens have ever suffered from pelvic inflammatory disease?
“I’ve never heard of it but think i may have had my first experience, I’ve not had pain or fever quite like it.
“The last 5 days have been hell.”
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is an infection that affects a woman’s reproductive organs, like the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. It can lead to pain in the lower belly, fever, and other discomfort.
Megan used the question sticker in her story to prompt fans who have experienced the condition to share their advice and solutions for managing the discomfort.
She said: “If you have any good Essex/London based Gynaecologists, please let me know or any tips or remedies for the pain and to stop it reoccurring.”
The 29 -year-old rose to fame after appearing on Love Island. Coupled up with fellow Love Island contestant Wes Nelson, the pair made it to fourth place on the show.
Following the show, they decided to part ways in their relationship.
Megan also disclosed that she’s Bisexual and, more recently, opened up about being in a throuple with a “hot girl” and her boyfriend.
Wes and Megan will soon come face to face as they have both recently joined Love Islands spin off, Love Island Games.
A source told us: “Wes has signed up for the show and is already filming – it’s going to be explosive when he reunites with Megan as there’s no love lost between them.”
