Katie Price reveals ‘real reason’ she can’t drive claiming she needs to pass blood test after ‘tip off’ to DVLA
KATIE Price has revealed the “real reason” she can’t drive at the moment and blamed it on an “anonymous tip off” to the DVLA.
Former glamour model Katie, 45, spoke about her circumstances during the latest episode of her podcast with sister Sophie.
She was previously banned from driving after a drink and drug-fuelled crash[/caption] She insisted the complications with her licence affect her visits to disabled son Harvey[/caption]Discussing the challenges she faces with eldest son Harvey, 21, living away at residential college, she said: “It’s been terribly difficult with me not being able to drive because I can’t just jump in a car, I have to rely on other people and all of that.
“As soon as I get my licence back properly… the reason I’m not driving is because someone sent an anonymous email to DVLA so I had to do a blood test because they said I was high risk.
“I did it weeks and weeks ago so I’m alright to drive. I’m just waiting for my licence to come through now. And then I’ll be able to see him more.”
Harvey was born with genetic condition Prader-Willi Syndrome, and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness. He also suffers from ADHD and autism.
His residential college is three-hours away from mum Katie’s Mucky Mansion.
Katie had her sixth driving ban reduced in April and was allowed back behind the wheel for the first time in two years.
She had been banned from driving following a booze and cocaine-fuelled car crash.
Katie was sentenced in December 2021 after flipping her vehicle while over the drink-drive limit, and was given a suspended 16-week jail term.
