I’m an interior designer – my 3 simple rules for decorating your home for fall without looking tacky
AN interior designer has revealed her three simple tricks for fall decor.
She said her guidelines help to vamp up a space without it looking tacky.
Maria (@mariaparkdesigns), an interiors expert specialized in feng shui, shared the advice with over 130,000 TikTok followers.
“If you want to add fall decor in your home without looking tacky, follow these three rules,” she said.
Her first piece of advice was to add different heights, as she added pumpkin pieces of various sizes on her table.
“Number two, stick to the same color family,” she said, noting that she picked out neutrals to center on her coffee table.
Last but not least, she emphasized the importance of textures in the decor you’re using.
Other interior designers have taken to social media to share their own pieces of advice for the fall season.
Kate, a specialist, revealed her trick to make her fall decor look more expensive than it actually was.
She explained that with just one simple alteration, she was able to make her autumn garland look more high-end.
“All I do is take two different types of garlands and simply wrap them around each other,” she explained.
She was able to combine the two Hobby Lobby pieces for an elevated look in her home.
People thanked her for the advice, noting how dramatic of a difference it made for her space.
“Your account is my decorating number one go-to!” said one fan.
“I used your hack last Christmas and it was incredible!”
