Three jaw-dropping BBC EastEnders theories: secret boyfriend revealed as iconic villain and stalker team up
STACEY Slater remains in danger as Theo Hawthorne continues to try and make her life more difficult in Albert Square.
One detail has left EastEnders viewers wondering if the creepy teacher could have bonded with somebody from her past.
1. Former love rival gets revenge
With a new-born granddaughter at home and Lily facing doubts about motherhood, Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) is under extreme pressure in her home, which Theo has only made worse.
The troublesome character portrayed by William Ellis took a liking to Stacey upon finding her secret sex work online but his feelings quickly evolved into an unhealthy obsession.
When Stacey finally learned the truth about all of his actions, she refused to have anything to do with him which only led Theo to cause more trouble for her.
Unable to cope with his interference any longer, Stacey tries to get a Stalking Protection Order against him and, in scenes airing on BBC One, she’s nervous ahead of the hearing.
But when Martin Fowler (James Bye) arrives and shows her the Secret Cam posters Theo plastered all over the Square, Stacey is fuming and goes to confront the teacher who is already off to court smartly dressed.
Fearing that Theo’s image might sway the magistrate, Stacey decides to attend the hearing and speak.
She arrives to hear DS Garrett laying out the case against Theo before his solicitor Mr Rath addresses the court.
As Theo’s solicitor tears apart Stacey’s reputation and character, she can hold back no longer – will her explosive temper get the best of her?
In recent scenes of the London-based drama, Theo decided to play with Stacey’s nerves by pretending to be her on social media.
Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) was left uneasy when he received raunchy messages from “Stacey.”
But when Stacey herself received a friend request from a certain “Bradley” – as a reference to her former husband who fell off the Queen Vic roof – soap fans turned to X and shared their thoughts.
According to them, there is no way Theo could have known about Stacey’s history with Bradley without a little help from a familiar face.
Ruby Allen, Stacey’s latest love rival, was the first name to be mentioned.
The character had already been suggested as a potential ally for Theo but she’d been thrown into the mix with Lily Slater’s father Ryan Malloy.
Theo’s reference to Bradley convinced multiple viewers that Ruby was the only one to blame for Stacey’s turmoil.
“I think Ruby has to be behind our Stacey’s hell. Theo wouldn’t know all of this stuff. Especially not about her beloved Bradley. I’m shook”, one of them commented.
“This is what makes me think that Theo could be working with Ruby Allen and she could be his ‘Informer.’ Theo can’t be that clever and isn’t working alone”, another agreed.
“It’s more then just idle gossip that Theo is getting this info from. Also Ruby coming back makes sense to be me. It’ll symbolise the Red in Stacey’s big 6 promo.”
They added: “She’ll come back with Martin’s baby which will create friction and she’d want revenge on the Slaters after Jean sent her to prison. Ruby knows a lot about Stacey.”
Another questioned: “How does Theo know about Bradley?! Ruby is definitely behind this.”
2. Insurance scam in the works
Elsewhere in the Square, drama unfolds once more for Rocky and Kathy Cotton and it all stems from his former wife Jo.
Jo Cotton wreaked havoc during Kathy and Rocky’s wedding day by trapping her former husband and branding him a bigamist.
Desperate for a fresh start with her beau, Kathy (portrayed by Gillian Taylforth) agreed to pay Jo off to finally get some peace.
Unfortunately, this has left her in a financial predicament as she made the decision to sell off the chippy before her son Ian intervened.
Distracted by her money woes, Kathy hasn’t had the chance to spend much time with Rocky (Brian Conley) as a married woman.
This week, Rocky tries to get Kathy in the mood for some alone time, but their living situation at Sonia Fowler’s is taking its toll.
In an effort to woo Kathy, Rocky sets up a romantic picnic at the car lot, but she’s furious that he’s squandered money they don’t have.
After a tongue-lashing from Kathy, Rocky realises he needs to take drastic action to get them back on track.
What will he do?
Brian Conley is due to leave Walford which has prompted viewers to speculate how his exit will play out.
Whilst many of them have theorised that he could be killed off during this Christmas’ murder mystery, others believe the former con man will be up to his old tricks.
In August, it was confirmed that a fire would rip through Kathy’s café, destroying part of the Square.
Could Rocky be behind the blaze as part of a shocking insurance scam?

3. Gina’s secret boyfriend revealed
Meanwhile, soap fans have grown increasingly concerned last week as Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) mentioned she had a boyfriend in Marbella.
Many have pointed out a mistake in the show’s continuity as Gina initially tried to get Zack Hudson’s attention when she first arrived in the Square.
However, last week, one viewer shared a theory – could her other half be a well-known villain in the borough?
According to this fan, Gina’s boyfriend could well be Dean Wicks, who raped Linda Carter in 2014.
The evil rapist left the Square in 2016 and his current address is unknown.
He was mentioned earlier this year as he was revealed to be spending time with his mother Shirley Carter who left Walford herself after the apparent death of her son Mick.
Dean is one of the many men listed as a potential victim in the whodunnit scheduled to air during the festive season.
With Shirley actress Linda Henry due to reprise her role as the no-nonsense matriarch, fans are expecting her to be followed by Dean.
Could he come to Walford to win Gina back?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
