Ross Kemp’s dangerous prisons show halts filming after ‘an incident’ on Channel 5 show
ROSS Kemp’s new prisons show has been paused midway through filming following an incident.
The former EastEnders star, 59, was in the process of filming his new Channel 5 series Ross Kemp: 72 Hours In, which will investigate what it’s like to be incarcerated alongside killers, gang members and drug barons around the world.
But Deadline have revealed that Ross‘ show has been halted and “conversations are taking place between the Paramount UK network and the producers of Ross Kemp: 72 Hours In following an incident”.
It was reported that the crew were set to head on the next leg of their filming in Columbia, which would have taken them close to Christmas.
A spokeswoman for Channel 5 said: “Filming had begun on the series, but due to unforeseen production challenges, we have made the practical decision to halt filming at the moment.”
Ross was planning on heading to different prisons across the globe including South America and Asia.
The actor has previously opened up about the series, telling The Sun: “I’ve been to some of the world’s toughest prisons. I thought I’d experienced it all, but this time we’re going even further.”
