Foodies go wild for M&S’ new biscuits that are perfect with a cuppa – best of all they cost just 40p each
FROM digestive to hobnob, rich tea to custard cream – everyone’s got their favourite biscuit to have with a cuppa.
But now there’s a new option on the shelves, and foodies are heading to M&S in their thousands in the hopes of getting their hands on a packet.
The biscuit in question is the cookie dunker – a buttery cookie made from malted milk and chocolate chunks.
And better yet, as the name suggests, the biscuits were made to withstand a good tea dunking.
People have been sharing their delight over the new find in videos on their TikTok pages, with Shannon among them.
“M&S fuelling my Elevenses addiction with their new cookie dunkers,” she wrote over a video of herself dipping one of the treats into her tea.
“@Marks & Spencer take all of my money,” she jokingly added in the caption.
“My son and I ate the whole tub!” one mum wrote in the comments.
As another added: “Honestly I said to my partner they must inject them with something because they’re my new addiction now.
“They’re the best biscuits I’ve ever tried!”
Another foodie took to Instagram to share her review, on her aptly titled Another Snack Reviewer page.
Alongside a video of herself breaking up the biscuits as well as trying them dipped in her tea, she wrote: “These have a lovely malted flavour to them while having the consistency of a cookie.
“Plenty of chocolate both inside and out which goes all yummy and melty once dunked.
“Ok yes they’re a good dunking biscuit and actually the shape does make it easier to eat once dipped in tea, but did I just get sucked into the novelty value?
“Probably. Not regrets though!”
The comments section was once again flooded with people weighing in on the new M&S offering, with one writing: “They look sort of …perfect?”
“Whoever comes up with their dessert and snack ideas is a genius,” another insisted.
“How do ya stop yourself eating the whole tub?” a third questioned.
While someone else said: “These are a Friday noon must too!!”
“I just KNOW these are amazing – need to try,” another wrote.
And while the price – £3.70 for 9 biscuits – put some people off, it works out at 40p a biscuit, which makes it a pretty good treat option.
“40p a biscuit is decent,” one person wrote.
“The moaners don’t think twice paying £3 for some tiny dry cookie in Costa!”
