I’m known as Dr Pimple Popper & there are three mistakes people make with their skin – including squeezing their spots
IS your skin looking dull and lack-lustre or perhaps you’re suffering with scarring from acne or long-lasting damage from sunburn?
Well, according to a skin expert known as ‘Dr Pimple Popper,’ it’s likely you’re committing one of three mistakes when it comes to looking after your skin.
In a clip shared to TikTok (@drpimplepopper), skincare pro Dr Sandra Lee reveals the three common things you should never do to your skin.
First up, she begins by urging people to avoid having piping hot showers.
“Hot showers dry out your skin,” she warns.
“Warm showers are a better option!”
Next up, she points out that people always seem to miss one key area when it comes to applying suncream…their necks.
“Sun damage can be drastic and noticeable,” she notes.

“Always apply sunscreen on your neck.”
And let’s face it, many of us are guilty of picking a spot with our fingers, even though we’ve all heard a million times that it’s better off just leaving them.
“Bacteria lives on your fingers and can make pimples worse,” the dermatologist warns.
“Always wear gloves or use a comedone extractor.”
This handy gadget allows you to easily and gently remove blackheads and whiteheads.
Dr Pimple Popper captioned the post: “Be honest: how many of these do you do?”
It wasn’t long before the post racked up a staggering 2.4 million views and several comments – with very mixed responses.
And it seemed there was one thing in particular that caused quite a stir.
“Leave me and my hot showers alone,” wrote one.
A second penned: “I know hot showers aren’t good for you but I really can’t stop won’t stop!”
A third commented: “I can’t have anything other then hot showers or I freeze lol.”
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “My back pain respectfully declines number.”
Elsewhere, others admitted they did all three things Dr Sandra Lee told them to avoid.
“I humbly refuse 1 and 3,” joked one.
Another noted: “Me seeing this but I do all 3!!”
A further added: “Ugh I do all these things….”
And one more chimed in: “I do all 3 hahaha!”
