Amanda Holden scales Blackpool Tower in dizzying charity challenge – after performing on iconic Strictly dancefloor
AMANDA Holden climbed Blackpool Tower to raise money for charity – and even performed on the iconic Strictly dancefloor.
The TV and radio presenter, 52, scaled the tourist attraction this morning – with Heart listeners with her all the way.
She swapped her usual glam look for trainers, trousers and a florescent hard-hat as she fully focused on the task ahead.
Amanda was kicking off Heart’s charity week for Make Some Noise.
From today through to Friday, presenters Amanda and Ashley Roberts will take on five challenges.
But there’s a catch – the women have to complete all five tasks in just five hours across the whole week.
Amanda went on to finish her challenge in “record time” as she was cheered on by fans.
She even had time to go for a spin on the dancefloor where Strictly Come Dancing contestants perform during the series.
“When in Blackpool…,” said Amanda.
The TV presenters are raising money for Global’s Make Some Noise – Heart’s official chairty.
They’re celebrating ten years of changing lives by supporting small projects across the UK, including in mental health, food poverty, domestic abuse, homelessness, and loneliness.
A Global spokesman said: “This year, for our 10th Appeal we need your help to make sure that together we can continue to be here for people in your community, helping those living through the toughest of circumstances, making sure nobody is left facing their biggest challenges alone.
“Help change lives by supporting Ashley and Amanda in their Race Against Time.”
