I’ve got crystal clear skin with no spots – my 8p daily trick to maintain my glowing complexion
A WOMAN with enviably clear skin has revealed the 8p secret behind her glowing complexion.
The skincare enthusiast – who has transformed her formerly acne-prone skin into a clear, spot-free zone – explained that she swears by drinking two cups of peppermint tea every day.
“POV: Drinking 2 cups of peppermint tea helps with hormonal acne and keeps your skin glowing,” she wrote over a TikTok video of herself enjoying the tea while showing off her perfect skin.
“Ddue to its antimicrobial properties, it prevents the growth of acne causing bacteria and gives you clear and blemish free skin!” she added in the caption.
“Love to drink 2 cups a day”.
And given that you can get a pack of 20 peppermint teabags in Sainsbury’s for just 95p, the beauty hack certainly won’t break the bank.
“I was shocked that it actually works too!!” one person commented on the video.
“Literally started two weeks ago and my skin has never been this clear,” another added.
“Omg maybe that’s why my skin was so clear some months ago,” a third marvelled.
“I need to start that again!”
“It actually tastes good too,” someone else praised.
“Guess that I know what I’ll be drinking tonight ( I love peppermint tea),” another said.
As someone else added: “Ohhh that’s why my skin looks so good.
“I’ve been drinking chamomile/peppermint tea before bed every night lol”.
“Girl you are literally the love of my life thank youuu,” another praised.
While someone else wrote: “I’ve been drinking for 3 weeks everyday and my skin never looked better!”
Helping the skin isn’t the only benefit of peppermint tea either – it can also work wonders for an upset stomach, and can even help relieve the symptoms of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).
“It does this by causing the muscles of the stomach to relax and by improving the flow of bile, helping food digest and pass through the stomach more quickly,” according to WebMD.
And people in the comments section agreed, with one calling peppermint tea “the best thing when you have a sore tummy”.
“It’s also really good for digestion,” another said.
“I’ve been putting it in tea to help with digestion and congestion,” a third commented.
“Didn’t even think it might be helping with that! Sweet!”
