Watch mortifying moment Bradley Walsh falls down flight of stairs on Blankety Blank set in front of celebrity panel
CELEBRITY game show host Bradley Walsh was left mortified after falling down a flight of stairs on the set on Blankety Blank.
On Saturday night’s episode of the BBC quiz show Bradley, 63, lost his footing and fell down the stairs in front of his star-studded celebrity panel.
In the latest episode of Blankety Blank, Bradley welcomed six celeb guests – Jason Watkins, Layton Williams, Rob Beckett, Anthea Turner, Nadia Jae and Jill Scott – and a series of contestants to the show.
But the show took an unexpected turn when The Chase star took a tumble.
Prior to his fall, Bradley was in fits of laughter as he asked his guests the next question.
He could barely keep a straight face as he read out the clue: “Everyone on my street loves me. In fact, whenever I walk down the road I hear people say ‘There goes Brad, isn’t he a massive blank.’”
After reading it out he took a walk around the studio, stepping up onto the first level and walking behind former Lioness Jill, 36.
However, Bradley missed the step up to the next level and took a tumble back down the stairs.
Thankfully, he wasn’t hurt by the fall and jumped to his feet again.
“I could have had you there,” he teased to Jill, before jokingly storming up the rest of the stairs.
Mortified, Bradley hid behind the upper row of contestants before regaining his composure and coming back down to the centre of the studio.
Getting back to the question at hand, he begged the celebs to “be kind,” before speaking to contestant Chris who picked the right answer, “celebrity.”
Then he gave the group of celebs a chance to say their piece, with some also kindly choosing the word “celebrity” or “star” as the missing word.
But 29-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star Layton chose to poke a bit of fun at Bradley with his answer.
“After that trip, he’s a wolly,” he said, laughing.
“That’s right though, that’s very true,” Bradley said, joining in on the laughter.
Anthea, 63, joined in on the joke with her answer, too.
“Plonker,” she said.
Anthea added: “I thought you were saying it tongue in cheek. I don’t really think this.”
Happily, Rob, 37, finished off the round on a nice note with his answer as he praised Bradley as a “legend.”
Blankety Blank continues on Saturday on BBC One at 9.35pm.
