Shoppers are scrambling to Aldi for a dupe of a posh designer diffuser – best of all it costs less than a fiver
THEY’RE becoming more well known for their dupes than their decently priced food.
And it seems Aldi has done it again with its latest version of a pricey designer diffuser, which costs just £4.99.
Maria took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share her latest buy – the ceramic scented oil diffuser.
“If you’re a fan of Abigail Ahern’s earthy tones, just found this in Aldi,” she wrote.
“It’s an oil diffuser without reeds. The bottle is porous so the smell comes through it.
“Looks really expensive.”
She added that she’d been using the Mandarin and Blackberry oil in hers, and noted that it also comes in an off-white colour as well as the grey she’d bought.
“The bottom is glazed. The mark isn’t from the oil,” Mariawrote.
She also explained that you get two bottles of oil with the diffuser, each of which is meant to last 8 weeks.
People were quick to comment on her post, with many planning shopping trips to Aldi to try and get their hands on one.
“I love the look of this,” one wrote.
“That’s well nice,” another said.
As a third commented: “This is beautiful, the one I got from Dunelm has to be plugged in which I decided is inconvenient.”
“I saw two of these today in aldi at shirebrook, but didn’t buy one,” someone else wrote.
“Wish I had now, it looks lovely!”
“Do they let of a lot of scent?” another asked.
To which Maria replied: “They seem to, takes about a day for it to absorb properly”.
“That’s really lovely, I’ll be looking for one tomorrow,” someone else wrote.
As another added: “I’ve bought these for my girls bedrooms as I don’t trust them with candles but hope these make their rooms smell fresh!”
While Abigail Ahern only has oil burners in her range, the Aldi diffuser is very similar in style to many of her much-loved pieces, including a vase that retails for £95.
