Strictly fix row as BBC employee escapes the axe – and ‘better’ dancer is sent home
STRICTLY Come Dancing has been accused of putting a BBC star through while a “better” dancer got sent home.
Les Dennis was the first star to be eliminated along with his celebrity partner Nancy Xu.
Nikita Kanda also had a challenging week but managed to avoid elimination, after being placed in the bottom two.
The judges unanimously voted to save Nikita who is known for being the host of the BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast show.
Fans were left shocked to see the Les get sent home after his sailor-themed Samba.
One fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Interesting the person that went through Strictly are bbc hired vs. les who isn’t.”
Another fan wrote: “I thought Les was better in the dance off to be fair.”
Viewers of the show did not think Les was the best dancer but they did think he would last on the show longer than he did.
A third fan wrote: “Wooooooah I am utterly surprised. I genuinely thought he’d be in for weeks.”
Another wrote: “You were my favourite dancer on the show. You didn’t deserve to get voted out, fantastic entertainer, and so funny even though you probably didn’t want to be showbiz legend”
Last night, Craig Revel Horwood told Les: “You’ve taken basic to a whole new level. It looked like you were limping with a broken ankle.”
Les gained recognition through his early career in stand-up comedy.
He’s not only a TV presenter but also an accomplished actor, celebrated for his diverse contributions to the entertainment industry, which includes his role in Coronation Street, appearance in various dramas and participation in musicals.
