I’m an interior designer – there’s a trend which is an absolute abomination…it should only be seen in zoos
IF you’re looking to renovate your home but are unsure what style to go for, then you may just want to listen up…
That’s because an interior designer has revealed the one popular trend that he believes is an “absolute abomination” and should be avoided an all costs.
Loren Kreiss is the CEO of his own company and has designed the homes of celebrities, including Matthew McConaughey, DJ Khaled and Magic Johnson.
He can regularly be found sharing his top tips and tricks on social media and has most recently taken to TikTok to discuss the common trend he despises.
In the clip, he begins: “This has to be one of the worst trends I’ve seen in all of my years as an interior designer…animal prints.
“Unless you live in the outback or happen to be Siegfried [Fischbacher] and Roy [Horn], there’s no reason to have animal prints in your home.”
The interior designer goes on to say that while they can be fun, they’re almost always an absolute abomination.
He urges: “Leave the animal prints to Scary Spice for Cheeto the cat and try something new for your home instead.”

Addressing his social media users, he concludes by asking: “What do you think?
“Are you sick of animal prints, or are you a caged animal waiting to be set free?
Loren captioned the post: “This has to be one of the worst trends I’ve seen in all of my years as an interior designer.”
The post quickly went viral, racking up thousands of views and several comments from social media users – with very mixed responses.
“Totally disagree if it’s done correctly and put in the right place it will look perfect,” argued one.
A second penned: “Disagree totally. It depends how you style it and don’t go over the top with it.”
A third commented: “Thank you for speaking out! Not everyone wants their home to look like Home Goods!”
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “I can never with animal prints or chaotic prints in the house.”
A further added: “I absolutely agree! I hate when I see a fabulous room and then a leopard print!”
One more wrote: “I don’t mind an accent but in a small, one location, dose.”
And another chimed in: “Ugh!! I totally agree. I don’t own ANYTHING animal print!”
