STRANGER Things fans were left terrified after show bosses revealed the “first look” at season 5.
The hit Netflix show creator’s shared a pre-visualization video of Joe Kerry’s character Steve Harrington turning around and making a face at the camera.
Fans were left startled by the animation.
Taking to X, in a sarcastic tweet, the producers said: “Hope the studios make a fair agreement with SAG soon or else season 5 looks like this.”
It was captioned in relation to the Writers Guild of America (WGA) walkout throughout Hollywood after major companies failed to offer an reasonable compensation settlement.
The writers hilariously responded: ‘”YI this is pre-vis for a scene in ep 1. So technically your first look at season 5. We told Joe he has to perform it EXACTLY like this.”
They explained to fans that pre-vis is a “rough animation of a scene”, and they only do it for scenes that have a lot of “VFX” or “complex action”.
Fans have caused fans to chuckle online, with many suggesting that “Stranger Things season 5 was entirely made in The Sims.”
One wrote: “Oh my god that’s crazy!”
A second added: “GOD PLEASE NO.”
A third penned: “Wow is that Joe?”
In a second post, the writers shared what’s supposed to be a pre-vis video of Charlie Heaton’s character Jonathan Byers.
One wrote: “That is so baffling!”
A second added: “Now who is that supposed to be because that is not Charlie.”
Due to the ongoing strikes, Stranger Things’ final season has been put on hold.
It was recently reported that, The Writers Guild of America (WGA) declared a “tentative agreement”, implying that the writers’ strike is coming to an end.
This means that if the agreement is approved by the board and members, the strike would be formally ended after more than a month.
