Woman jazzes up her 1980s’ bathroom for £12 using JUST Poundland goodies – but it’s giving some people the ick
A DIY fan has shared how she was able to renovate her bathroom floor with a £3 buy from Poundland.
The creator said she was tired of her blue and white floor tiles which clashed with her 1980’s bathroom tiles so decided to pull them off.
The DIY went to Poundland and bought four packs of £3 floor tiles for her bathroom.
In a TikTok video online she said: “A new bathroom floor for £12, hoping these are as good as they seem for the price.”
“I got these today and can’t wait to try them.”
The DIY fan said she thought the tiles were perfect for someone working with a small budget.
She said: “If these are any good they’ll be perfect for anyone on a budget.”
The DIY fan said she went for a drastic change to her bathroom, going for black tiles.
She said: “I picked black but they had a couple of colours.”
“Each tile is 30cm by 30cm and self adhesive.”
The DIY fan followed up with another video sharing how she laid her new tiles.
Even though the tiles were easy to source the DIY fan said she said the old tiles were really tough to remove.

She said: “[They] were awful and had been stuck down with tape.”
“I pulled them up by hand and using a scraper.”
But once the old flooring was removed, applying the new one became very simple.
The DIY fan said: “Sticking was really easy but took a while to get everything level.”
“Once stuck down they seemed pretty solid.”
The DIY fan said she trimmed the tiles with a sharp knife she also bought in Poundland for £1.50.
The video racked up over 120,000 views online.
One user said: “I bought these online as they are only £1. Done my kitchen, toilet and have enough to do my bathroom, not bad for £30.”
But some viewers said they were not impressed with the tiles.
One user said: “Rubbish in bathroom always come up.”
Another said: “They are terrible!! Do not buy.”
