Fulham 0 Chelsea 2: Mudryk scores first ever goal and Broja nets on return as Blues begin to turn form around
MYKHAILO MUDRYK bagged his first Chelsea goal as Mauricio Pochettino’s men ended a run of three Premier League games without a win with a 2-0 victory at rivals Fulham.
The Blues came into the match with just one win from their opening six league games.
But two first-half goals within a minute of each other settled the game for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Mudryk, 22, without a Chelsea goal in 23 previous appearances, brilliantly took down Levi Colwill’s clipped pass to slot home and open his Blues account.
Seconds later the visitors doubled their lead as Cole Palmer’s through ball resulted in Tim Ream clearing the ball into Armando Broja’s foot and beyond Fulham keeper Bernd Leno.
However, there was still some bad news for Chelsea as Mudryk was replaced at half-time with a suspected fitness issue.
And Broja also suffered a knock in the second period, before he was replaced by Raheem Sterling.
