BBC News have announced a presenter shakeup as Emma Vardy’s replacement has been revealed – and fans are over the moon.
In September, the rising star shared a major life update with her fans, revealing she is leaving her role as Northern Ireland Correspondent for to purse a career in Los Angeles.
Emma posted a photo of herself smiling at the camera while holding her baby child Jago Fionn and a small American flag bag.
But now the BBC have announced who will replace the journalist.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the flagship channel’s press account penned: “Delighted to announce that Sara Girvin has been appointed as the new Ireland Correspondent for BBC News. Congratulations Sara!”
Sara has been a Newsline correspondent for the BBC for 8 years and 8 months.
Fans were delighted with the news and flooded the comments area with words of congratulations to the new presenter.
