HELEN Flanagan has taken a cryptic swipe at her footballer ex Scott Sinclair, a year after their sad split.
The Coronation Street actress, 33, and her former fiancé Scott split up after 13 years together.
Helen and Bristol Rovers footballer Scott started dating in 2009 and have three children together.
And in a pointed dig at her former flame recently, Helen re-shared a quote on her Instagram Stories.
It read: “Whenever I’m having a bad day I just stop and remind myself at least I don’t have my ex’s name tattooed on my body.”
The news of Helen and Scott’s split emerged three days after Helen was seen dancing with a mystery man at a friend’s birthday party — and only a few weeks after she finished filming ITV’s ITV’s I’m A Celebrity All Stars in South Africa.
A source said: “Helen has removed her engagement ring and told those close to her that she is no longer with Scott.
“They hit a rough patch in the summer and after she came back from South Africa their relationship ended.
“Helen and Scott are committed to co-parenting their kids, even if they are no longer a couple.”
Helen revealed that the pair had not shared a bed for seven years — with Helen choosing to sleep with her children.
The couple’s careers also led to spells living apart.
The source said: “Helen turfed Scott out of their marital bed a long time ago because she co-sleeps with their kids.
“Naturally it put a strain on their relationship over the years.”
Talking about her and Scott’s sleeping arrangements, Helen said last year: “It would be nice to actually share a bed and not feel like flatmates.
“I’ve always slept with the kids out of easiness and so I can sleep and function in the morning.”
Helen and Scott got engaged in 2018 and were to marry in 2024.
