I tried a viral air fryer that people are nabbing for just £8 – I’d never used one before but my chips came out amazing
IT’S the air fryer that’s been causing a storm on social media, thanks to the fact that some people are nabbing it for just £8.
And one woman who splashed out on the device has shared her honest review, insisting it made the “best chips” she’s ever had.
It’s also testament to the air fryer, which Leigh got for £27, that she managed to get such a good result, as it was the first time she’s ever used one of the cookers.
“I didn’t want to do anything fancy because I’ve never actually used an air fryer before, so I just put some basic chips in,” she said in a video on her TikTok page.
“Thankfully I didn’t have to worry about any timings because it had a chip option on there.
“It was very, very straightforward to use, anyone could do it. It literally took me a couple of seconds.”
She noted that using an air fryer is also a lot healthier than cooking chips in oil.
It took 40 minutes for her chips to cook, as she concluded: “Honestly they were the best chips I’ve ever had!
“This was honestly a bargain because it was only £27 – I’m so pleased with this purchase.”
People were quick to comment on the video, with some revealing they’d even managed to get the air fryer for cheaper than that on TikTok Shop.
“I bought, its 100% easy to use, I got mine for £15.89,” one wrote.
“Bargain!” Leigh replied.
“I got mine for just over £8. It’s amazing,” another boasted.
As a third commented: “Mine cost £8.36, bargain! Took a week to arrive.”
Leigh explained in another video that you can get the air fryer for just £8 if you’re a first-time buyer on TikTok Shop.
The air fryer in question has a capacity of 4.5 litres, and is 1400 watts.
It’s also “really quiet” to run, Leigh noted.
Since getting hers, Leigh has tried to cook a variety of things in it, including potato waffles and a mug cake.
In another video, she demonstrated how she’d made her “pizza rolls” – kicking off by cutting off the crusts on a slice of white bread and flattening it out.
She then put a squirt of tomato puree on the bread, and spread it out, before adding some grated cheese.
She then rolled the bread up, and put some more tomato puree, seasoning and cheese on top, before whacking it in the air fryer on the pizza setting.
“This was literally done in five minutes and it tasted so good,” she gushed.
