Autistic boy, 11, ‘sexually assaulted’ at Tenerife resort in front of his family who ‘chased suspect out of the hotel’
THE family of an autistic 11-year-old boy chased a man out of a hotel after he allegedly sexually assaulted the youngster.
The boy, from Ireland, was playing with other kids at a hotel in Tenerife when the suspect put his hands down the boy’s trousers, according to reports.
It is understood the boy’s horrified family saw the alleged attack unfold on September 18.
One relative quickly chased the man out of the hotel, and the incident is said to have been caught on CCTV.
The suspect is claimed to have been seen loitering around the hotel in Costa Adeje for a number of days.
Spanish cops have since arrested the man, reports DublinLive.
A source told the outlet: “The family are shocked and appalled at what has happened.
“What was a lovely family holiday quickly turned into a holiday from hell.
“They are horrified the attack took place right in front of their eyes. One of the family members chased the man from the hotel.
“The last couple of days of their holiday was spent between the police station and the courthouse.
“They want to warn other families holidaying in Tenerife to keep an eye on their children at all times because this happened in the blink of an eye.”
