The Chase fans boycott show after ‘most ludicrous episode’ in ITV history – fuming ‘I’m quitting for my sanity!’
THE Chase fans were left raging after watching the “most ludicrous episode” in history as they threatened to stop watching the ITV show for their “own sanity”.
Viewers were left in shock after three out of four contestants chose to accept low offers when facing The Beast.
Participants, Samantha, Tom, and Danae were left shaking in their boots after the first player, David went home after being beaten by the chaser.
Therefore trying to play it safe, they all decided to pick low offers despite previously racking up decent amounts in their cashbuilder rounds.
Danae managed to get £7,000 in her cash builder, which made things better for the rest of the team, who only had £2,000 before.
Th contestant was offered a mind-blowing £118,000, but she chose to accept £2,000 instead, leaving host Bradley Walsh as well as the viewers at home baffled.
People watching were furious that none of the contestants had the courage to take the risk and choose a high offer or stick with the initial ones.
Taking to X formerly known as Twitter, fans aired their frustration, with many dubbing it the “the most ludicrous episode ever”, and threatening to boycott the ITV gameshow.
One wrote: “What a load of s**t.”
A second raged: “This has to be one of the most ludicrous episodes of #thechase I’ve watched in years!!”
A third fumed: “Why even go on a TV quiz, £118,000 and she turned it down? Hope they get caught now.”
A fourth complained: “I’m going to stop watching this s**t now, for my own sanity and getting a drink. I’d rather be pi**ed than pi**d off.”
A fifth exclaimed: “Not watching this!!”
