I’m a professional cleaner – three hacks that actually work & make your sink sparkling – and why a SPATULA is essential
A PROFESSIONAL cleaner has shared her top three tips that she says are game-changing for your home.
And she said her easy to follow hacks aren’t complicated and actually give visible results.
The cleaner, who works for housekeeping and cleaning company Jetlag Remedy, uploaded a video to the brand’s TikTok account as she detailed what they are and how to do them.
And there’s something for every room of the home – from the kitchen to the living room and beyond.
In the clip, the cleaner introduced herself, as she said: “[Here’s] three household cleaning hacks that are actually useful that I use as a pro cleaner.”
She then said that the first one is all to do with removing the dirt build up in hard to clean places in your kitchen and bathroom.
Her tip? Grab yourself a spatula and a cloth and watch the magic happen.
The social media user explained: “My first one is being able to get the greasy grime out with ease by wrapping a spatula with a microcloth and pushing it along those hard to get into areas.”
She then showed the technique in action, as she slid her DIY cleaning contraption along the sides of her oven, and took away a layer of dirt.
She then said: “You can see here, it’s so effective. It’s super quick, it causes no damage and it’s just super easy.
“It can be used around stoves, around sinks, in bathrooms. I love this one.”
This led nicely onto Jetlag Remedy’s second tip, which was all to do with ensuring the sink was sparkling clean.
She explained: “My second hack is the 3-step sink shining method. It’ll get your sink going from this to this – so bright it’s almost blinding.”
Lifting the lid on the method, she continued: “I start off with a very minimal abrasive cream cleaner and you give the whole sink a scrub, including the drain section.
“After that you boil the kettle, and pour the hot water down the sink.
“And the third step after you’ve let the sink dry a little is to use the stainless steel cleaner.

“I spray it on a little cloth and then I give the whole sink a good wipe and you can just see it looks so shiny – it looks brand new. And it only took three super simple steps.”
“Compared to before, this sink is shining.”
While her third and final hack is another simple but effective one.
She concluded: “My last little hack is to make sure that you’re dusting your plants – especially the ones with big leaves.
“It makes a huge difference to your house, but what I do to make them super shiny and to keep dust away a little bit is add a tiny bit of oil.
“You can use pure olive oil or coconut oil.”
