THE secret to wrinkle-free skin could lie in your vegetable box.
That’s according to one plant-based diet aficionado who has shared her three-ingredient anti-aging juice recipe.
She said her fruit and veg combo has had remarkable results.
It certainly seems to have worked wonders on her face because people have even thought she’s had invasive treatment: “Jen, do you get botox?”
But Jen Jones (@thejenjones), who boasts a huge following of 1.3 million, most definitely has not.
The secrets of her youthful looks lay in her plant-based recipes.
She shared one of her most colorful juices, which contained purple cabbage, pineapple, and cinnamon.
“One of the best juice combos for gorgeous skin,” she said in her post.
“Purple cabbage is high in Vitamin A, which helps with the regrowth of your skin cells,” she said.
Then added: “Combing pineapple and purple cabbage together is amazing for inflammation.”
But there were so many benefits to her brew, she wrote.
“Amazing for your heart health, for your digestion, and helps to keep your skin young and radiant.”
To make it, she threw half a red cabbage into her juicer, and one whole pineapple, and lots of cinnamon.
Once blended, the juice was a vibrant violet-pink color.
“All the vitamins and the antioxidents going right into your bloodstream,” said Jen.
“Look at how gorgeous this is.”
The response to her post has been phenomenal with 655,000 likes.
Viewers were persuaded.
“Purple cabbage is retinol straight into your system,” figured one person.
Another wrote: “I love purple cabbage. I drink it every day. It also contains pre-biotics and is great for digestion and good gut bacteria.”
