Healthy meal updates — ‘Game changing’ pasta recipe switches key ingredient for 9cal option – but comes with a warning
IF you’re in the mood for pasta but not all the calories – this might be the meal for you.
TikToker Benji Xavier (benjixavier) shared a low-calorie chicken and noodle recipe.
He quickly compared the 9-calorie konjac noodles he was using for his lower-cal meal and regular pasta – and the difference was major.
“Eighteen calories, 210 calories with regular spaghetti,” he said.
Then, he prepared an “Asian-style” sauce to pair with the noodles with water, non-fat Greek yogurt, low-fat soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, onion and garlic powder, and cayenne.
The TikToker then added the sauce to the noodles, tossed it all in a pan, then added grilled chicken once the meal was plated.
“Look at the amount of noodles for 18 calories. With the sauce, it turned out to be 120-ish calories, but I mean, it’s so low-calorie for the amount of food, it’s insane.”
In the comments, however, one user issued a warning: “Please be careful about this if you have digestive issues/don’t consume it too much!!”
