Launch of ultra-rare Glowberry Prime with special bottle is delayed by Aldi – leaving excited customers disappointed
ULTRA-RARE Glowberry Prime set to hit Aldi shelves TODAY has been delayed – leaving fans devastated.
Disappointed customers weren’t able to get their hands on a special bottle containing the highly anticipated new flavour.
The latest edition of Logan Paul and KSI’s controversial energy drink tastes like sour apple berries and fans.
But, despite not leaving with a glow in the dark bottle, shoppers were still left with a sour taste in their mouth following the delay.
It was supposed to be flying off the shelves at Aldi today for £1.99 as part of their Specialbuys.
Only one bottle per Prime obsessed fan was to be sold, due to its popularity – with rumours of people camping outside to make sure they got one.
A raging shopper penned on X, formerly Twitter: “Went first thing this morning to purchase one and how convenient the delivery has let them down.
“Absolute con. #fakeadvertising.”
Another wrote: “When is this Glowberry Prime going to be in your stores, went this morning but nothing.”
An Aldi spokesperson, replying to one comment on X, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by this.
“We expect stores to be stocked soon and will announce the confirmed date as soon as we can.”
Prime Hydration has created a social media frenzy amongst youngsters following the launch of the brand.
Although it sells for a retail price of £1.99, newsagents across the country have been charging up to £100 for them due to demand.
The craze has led to mobs of teens scrambling for a bottle in Asda stores and one dad even forked out £1,000 to buy his sons a pack for Christmas.
Controversial corner shop, Wakefield Wines, West Yorkshire, has garnered a lot of attention after selling soft drinks at £20 a bottle.
Another store selling Prime for £15 is a Nisa Local, in Worcester.
Shopkeeper Ameer Khan said: “Nobody has complained about the price.
“People leave their phone numbers with me so I can let them know we have some in stock.”
One punter paid £80 for a crate while another shelled out £15 just to keep a bottle behind the counter so no one else could buy it.
