AN SAS hero who single-handedly fought off terrorists in a hotel siege has vowed to appeal a court decision to gag him.

Sgt Christian Craighead rescued dozens of civilians but has been blocked from detailing his brave counter-attack in his memoir.

His heroics in 2019 were captured on live TV as he dashed in and out of the hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, armed with an assault rifle, pistol and knife.

The attack left 21 dead but off-duty Christian was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for his efforts.

However, the Ministry of Defence has now won a court order stopping him from recounting his story in book One Man In over fears it will reveal his elite unit’s tactics.

He told The Sun: “I’m saddened by the court’s decision.

“I did everything I could to get this book published, including working with the Ministry of Defence in good faith.

“As people will know by now, I’m not one to give up easily on a fight — I intend to appeal.”

Christian had told the High Court his equipment and decision-making that day in Nairobi had been “visible to the world”.

The MoD argued the book breached his lifelong SAS confidentiality agreement and Mrs Justice Steyn agreed that “substantially outweighs” his interest in publishing.
