Carla Connor forced to take drastic action to save Underworld in Coronation Street
CARLA Connor is forced to take drastic action to save Underworld in Coronation Street.
The businesswoman – played by Alison King – was left dumbfounded after discovering what Stephen Reid had been up to in recent episodes.
The villain – played by Todd Boyce – has been desperately trying to get his hands on Underworld for months, and even drugged Carla with LSD as part of his plan.
However, things have unravelled spectacularly for Stephen during Corrie’s Super Soap Week this week, and in upcoming episodes, Carla has to dig deep to try and undo the carnage he has created.
As the police investigation continues, Carla assures everyone she intends to fight tooth and nail to save the factory.
She reveals her plan to fly out to Spain in a bid to secure a lucrative deal.
Whilst Beth, Kirk and Simon worry about their wages, Michael gets the news that he is losing his job.
Meanwhile, Stephen’s antics have also caused chaos for Ed Bailey, who was left flabbergasted when his building project had to be put on hold when Leo Thompkins’ remains were found on the site.
With money growing scarce, Ed is all over the place as he tries to repair the damage and his daughter Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) notices he has taken no interest in her new boyfriend Joel Deering (Callum Lill).
Coming up next week on ITV, Ed apologises to Dee-Dee for being too distracted to take an interest in her new boyfriend and offers to take her and Joel for lunch to get to know him.
However, the solicitor soon makes a shocking discovery about her father after sifting through the mail and finding an envelope from a credit card company addressed to Norris Cole.
Coronation Street fans will remember that Norris Cole was the former owner of The Kabin.
He left Weatherfield in 2019 before dying off screen from a stroke two years later in Stilwaters retirement home with his new bride Freda Burgess by his side.
But how will Ed react to Dee-Dee’s discovery?
Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
