I went to the hairdressers asking for cute wispy curtain fringe – the result was an absolute nightmare
WISPY curtain bangs are undeniably one of the most trendy and flattering hairstyles around.
They’re a favourite of supermodels like Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, and perhaps the most common cut among stylish influencers.
But choosing the right hairdressers to do the chop is essential – as one unfortunate client found out the hard way.
Isa Cardona is a lifestyle influencer who regularly shares clips in her TikTok page, @IsaMarieC, where she has 29k followers.
And in a recent clip that racked up more than 282k views, she shared snaps of the disaster that ensued after a trip to the salon.
Isa began by clarifying: “I just wanted thin wispy bangs and my curtain bangs trimmed.”
To exemplify, she added a few pics of the inspiration pics she showed: girls with choppy, soft fringes in a stylish, swooping style.
But Isa added that she’d been left in “complete and utter shock” by what she ended up with.
The stunning influencer cut to a shot of her post-trim, revealing a long, blocky fringe right across the front of her forehead.
The result couldn’t have looked more different than the wispy curtain bangs she’d asked for.
“I am so mad that she let me leave like this too,” poor Isa quite rightly complained in the caption.
Her video amassed more than 16k likes, with viewers taking to the comments to share their support after the botch job.
“I mean they’re not rly curtain bangs [sic],” one wrote, “but they r wispy bangs and super cute!! Style them on ur own and they’ll look good lol.”
“I don’t think it’s as bad as it seems,” another reassured her. “Def wash and style it yourself and you’ll like it better.”
If the same thing happens to you, remember pretty much everyone has experienced a bad hair cut and your tresses will grow back before you know it.
And if you’re looking for a way to speed up the process, why not try out this hair whizz’s two-ingredient DIY mask that she claims massively speeds up the rate at which your locks grow.
All you need is some olive oil and ground coffee: mix and apply to your roots for 30 minutes, and it should help stimulate growth.
