Savvy shopper reveals how she got a £55 slow cooker for just £20 from Dunelm – without it being on sale
SAVVY shoppers are hurrying to snap up a £20 kitchen essential that could help to reduce your energy bills.
Slow cookers have become an increasingly popular choice for homeowners hoping to cut energy costs in the kitchen.
So, if you’re looking to nab a bargain, then Dunelm could just be your answer…but according to the savvy shopper who spotted the ‘Chalkboard Slow Cooker’ for the heavily reduced price of just £20, it’s not worth going to your local store.
Instead, Samantha Chennell notes how the deal was only on offer online – adding that just by opting to click and collect, she saved herself a whopping £35.
Rushing online to show if off, she took to money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and penned: “Just got myself a slow cooker for £20 from Dunelm free click and collect.”
“When I went into the store it was £55 so ordered online and saved £35.”
The product description online reads: “Crafted with a 3L capacity and removable ceramic cooking pot for ease of cleaning, this fabulous 200W slow cooker has a matt black chalkboard housing so you can easily write notes, for example instructions.”
It includes two pieces of chalk, the cooker has a power indicator light, slip resistant rubber feet and three heat settings (warm, low and high), making it really simple to use and perfect for family dinners.

But it’s not the only reason shoppers have been racing to the high-street store in recent weeks.
Fabulous previously told how Dunelm customers couldn’t get enough of “lovely” home furniture scanning for just £50 instead of £329 – an impressive 85% off.
The delighted shopper rushed online to share a photo of a navy blue velvet chair which usually retails at £329, reduced to £50.
They commented: “Kept seeing all the bargains people were getting.
“Didn’t expect to get such a good one myself!”
Another shopper named Inese Cekstere was thrilled when she stumbled upon a £145 light fitting which has been slashed to just £36.25.
She wrote: “So in love with this, made my day.”
Alongside her post, Inese attached two images – one of her beautiful Angela LED chain ring light and another of her receipt.
