I work as a bottle girl in college – teachers say my pay for a 14-hour week is more than they make in a month
A COLLEGE student has given a sneak peek into how much money she takes home after a work week as a bottle girl.
She showed how much she made within 14 hours, which has teachers online saying that her pay is more than they make in a month.
Dess (@dess.leee) balances her time as a student and her work as a bottle girl in Dallas, Texas.
In a TikTok video, she revealed how much she made after a 14-hour workweek.
She wrote in the video caption that it’s “the perfect job for anyone in school” or needing something part-time.
When the video began, she was sitting in her car and held up a thick white letter envelope.
“I just picked up money from the last weekend I worked,” she said “Let’s see how much I made.”
She explained that one day she worked an event, and it was a bit busier than normal.
She counted the stack of cash in front of the camera, which consisted of a mix of hundreds, fifties, twenties, tens, fives, and single dollar bills.
“So, in total, I made $3,129,” she told viewers.
Dess worked on Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. until 3 a.m. the next day.
“I only work on Fridays and Saturdays, since I’m in school,” she added.
In the end, she divulged that she made about $223 an hour, which she called “pretty good.
“This is the only job I can have in school,” she said. “If you needed a sign, become a bottle girl in Dallas. There’s so many job opportunities.”
Many people were shocked by the amount of money she made in such little time.
“I’m a full-time ER nurse and this is more than my two-week paycheck,” someone chimed in.
“I’m a teacher and it’s more than my monthly check,” a viewer commented.
“So you made my rent, groceries, car note, cable bill/electricity in FOURTEEN damn hours!???” one commented.
