I have seven random items that just make sense in an interior designer’s home, my tip for hiding your remotes is genius
AN interior designer proved that beauty lies in the details.
She revealed seven seemingly random items in her home that are actually essential to its elevated aesthetic.
Interiors insider Lisa Marie Checo (@lisamariecheco) said every item in her home serves a purpose, even if it may seem arbitrary.
“Random things in my home that just make sense,” she began in the clip.
First up was a pair of CB2 travertine bookends, which go for $39 a pop.
She used the red-hued pieces to dress up her console, holding together a colorful stack of coffee table books.
Her next must-have was one she couldn’t live without.
“I don’t actually think you’re ready for this one.”
Although she at first appeared to be filming a standard coffee table book, when she went to flip the cover, she revealed it was actually a storage box that held her remote controls.
“I hate having random things around, so it’s a fake book that hides basically anything you want,” she said about the $28 Etsy purchase.
To give her couch an added flare, she said her colored Mohair pillows are the perfect touch.
Moving onto her kitchen, she pointed out that her Smeg tea kettle was a favorite and added that she was “obsessed” with her $55 Selena Liu For Areaware cutting boards.
Lisa also praised her matcha station, which she got for $32 on Amazon.
Rounding out the list, she said her mini stone match holders were the perfect way to stylize her matches.
Her home instantly made viewers swoon.
“The mohair pillows! Lovely,” one admired.
“That fake book deserves the Nobel prize,” quipped another.
