Big Brother star Farida is first housemate to be evicted after losing out to bitter rival Kerry
BIG Brother’s Farida has become the first housemate to be evicted from the rebooted reality show.
The makeup artist, 50, might have lost out to her bitter rival Kerry, 40, in tonight’s fan vote, but she left the house cheering.
She told the crowd: “I had the most amazing time. Thanks everybody for making the effort and coming tonight. I love ya. God bless ya.”
Both NHS manager Kerry and makeup artist Farida nominated each other for eviction.
In the Diary Room, Farida accused Kerry of being a huge “gossip” and having “mini tantrums”.
She said: “She’s a grown woman that needs to get it together and deal with it instead of throwing her dummy out.”
While Kerry said: “She’s hard work, I find her selfish and I’m finding her hard to like at the moment because she’s putting my back up. I just feels she looks down on me quite a bit.”
The tension between the pair was palpable just days into the new series.
Kerry and Farida, who have both appeared on television before in the past, were locked in a battle to be the ‘mama of the house’.
They clashed during the first shopping task of the series which saw them both assume the role of ‘middle managers’ whose responsibility was to delegate jobs to the housemates on the lowest level of the challenge’s hierarchy.
Farida branded Kerry, who has the debilitating condition multiple sclerosis, “lazy” in the Diary Room for not helping with physical tasks. Her comments were pulled apart and branded offensive by fans on social media.
In one awkward scene Kerry couldn’t believe so many people were interested in Farida after she claimed her social media content received up to 400,000 views per video.
And the pair’s catty comments and cool body language weren’t lost on housemates who decided to nominate them to face the public vote; Kerry received five nominations, while Farida got eight.
Kerry previously appeared on Deal Or No Deal back in 2007 winning £35,000.
Her episode was memorable for being plunged into darkness when the Noel Edmonds fronted show suffered a sudden power cut.
Farida was a contestant on Come Dine With Me in 2009 and, more recently, appeared on Blankety Blank opposite Bradley Walsh.
