Strictly’s Ellie Leach fights back tears after ‘mistake’ as fans slam judges for ‘harsh’ criticism
STRICTLY’S Ellie Leach fought back the tears after tonight’s performance after fans slammed the judges for ‘harsh’ criticism.
The former Coronation Street actress was first to the stage this evening.
Ellie and dance pro partner Vito Coppola danced the Samba to Barry Manilow’s tune Copacabana.
The pair managed to get a whopping 28 out of 40, despite harsh criticism from the judges.
After the performance, while talking to Claudia Winkleman, Ellie fought back the tears as she said: “I feel like I let you down.”
Viewers watching at home criticised judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Anton du Beke, 57, Motsi Mabuse, 42, and Shirley Ballas, 63, for their comments.
One said on X: “Oh here’s Shirley criticising the tiniest details when she dished out a random 10 for a worse performance last week.”
“Feel they are being harsh this week maybe it’s cause they don’t want to only give gd feedback but it’s really harsh,” another wrote.
A third chimed in: “Oh Ellie that was amazing, the judges were very harsh tonight!”
It comes after Ellie sparked romance rumours with her dance partner after the pair oozed chemistry during an interview with the Sun.
They were also spotted leaving the Pride of Britain awards together.
While Ellie is busy with Strictly, she has teased an epic return to the Cobbles.
She told the Express: “I don’t know, I mean never say never. But you know, I think now is a great time for me to see kind of see what else is out there.
“I’ve been at Corrie for 12 years and it’s a long, long time, and I’ve grown up there.
