Holly Willoughby’s Wylde Moon company ‘has just £149 in the bank’ after star quits This Morning
HOLLY Willoughby’s own Goop-style lifestyle brand may not have as much in the kitty as we thought.
The Dancing On Ice host may be skating close to the wind – or in her case the moon – as the accounts for her Wylde Moon brand reveal.
The micro accounts on Companies House show the company has over £283,000 in assets but creditors are owed £310,000.
They also show that Mrs Holly Baldwin – which is her married name – also took over £46,000 from the company.
This left the total Net Assets and Capital and Reserves sitting at a total of just £149.
Holly, 42, previously launched her own lifestyle brand in September 2021.
As well as a blog and newsletter with tips on everything from fashion to sex, the brand currently sells products which include candles and a flagship perfume.
The former This Morning presenter previously launched the fragrance with an exclusive bash at the London Palladium.
Comments from her customers online were mixed; one user called it “absolutely awful,” whilst others were “disappointed by the cheap packaging”.
A 50ml bottle sells for £42 whilst her cheapest candle is set at £40.
On the online boutique, she also sells her diffuser, natural wax melts and it also serves as another outlet to flog her book, Reflections.
Holly previously said she had the idea to launch the brand in 2018 when she was in Australia with Declan Donnelly.
The idea came to her when ITV called her to fill in for her pal Ant McPartlin on I’m A Celebrity in 2018.
“I’ve always been fascinated with the moon, space, shooting stars and looking up,” Holly explained.
“On holiday, I spend more time on the sun lounger at night than during the day. The moon is always there – like the sun– no matter where you are in the world.”
She added: “I’d lost a part of who I was and that rediscovery has led me here, to a whole new place of beauty and power.”
This was after she almost launched a lifestyle brand in 2018 with her Dragon’s Den friend Peter Jones.
It comes after Holly Willoughby sensationally quit This Morning after 14 years on the ITV show.
And it comes as there is uncertainty over whether she will continue her role on Dancing on Ice, with bosses saying they are not putting any pressure on her to return for the show’s start in January.
In a post to Instagram Holly wrote: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.
“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.
“This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together.”
She added: “Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive.”
