We have a ‘Narnia room’ behind a hidden panel in our wardrobe – it’s my fave renovation project, I left room for magic
A WHIMSICAL DIYer brought some magic into her home with a Narnia-inspired room behind a hidden panel in her wardrobe.
The inventive addition was meant to let the imagination take flight.
Her small daughter entered another world through a hidden panel in the wardrobe[/caption]“This is my favorite renovation project to date. It inspires me to take more risks and leave room for magic when designing,” said Elsie Larson (@elsielarson).
Behind the coats hanging in the wooden wardrobe, a whole new world awaited.
As Elsie opened the hidden panel, a narrow room with sky lights came into view.
The space definitely evoked images of Narnia – without the lions, giants, and dwarves.
There were, however, what appeared to be plenty of children’s books and oversized bean bag chairs.
Harry Potter-themed scarves could also be spotted hanging on the wall.
The flea market enthusiast, whose goal is to turn her home into a Nancy Meyers movie, had fans obsessing over the enchanting room.
“This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen,” one follower gushed.
“Well what a coincidence because it’s also my favorite reno you’ve ever done,” another viewer said of the unique home element.
“I simply would just never leave, that hideaway library is stunning!” exclaimed yet another super fan.
“Thank you, thank you,” she replied.
In a second video, Elsie’s small daughter gave a glimpse of what it was like to enter the Narnia-type wardrobe through a child’s eyes.
Wearing a white dress, the girl perused the bookshelves and took a plush toy off the shelf.
The Chronicles of Narnia enthusiasts still couldn’t contain their excitement over the renovation.
“Oh my word. This is so lovely. My Narnia loving heart just skipped a beat.”
“I was legit waiting for her to open the second door and walk into snow like from Narnia lol,” another follower joked.
