I’m a cleaning expert and swear by £1.50 hack to clean forgotten part of your house, it’s a game-changer
A CLEANING expert has revealed her “game-changer” hack to clean the forgotten part of your home – and it only costs £1.50.
Hazel Mckinnie, one half of the Wee Scotty Cleaners, said she hates a dirty front door and always strives to keep hers sparkling clean.
In a recent TikTok video, the mum of two showed off the bargain gadget she uses to get the job done – a dishmatic.
Hazel, 44, said: “My mum taught me if you’ve got a clean step and a clean window, you’ve got a clean house.
“This [dishmatic] is a game-changer. This is changing my life. look.
“See all these seals? It fits perfect into all these seals, look.
“I’m telling you, this wee tool is a game-changer.
“All those wee nooks and crannies that you can’t get into, honestly that is brilliant.
“You just give it a wee rub away.
“Because I hate that, a dirty front door.”
She added: “It’s just a wee dishmatic. You can do your skirtings, do your doors, do your PVC windows.
“All you’ve got in it is some water and fairy liquid, then I’m going in with a drying cloth to dry it all off.
“It got all those wee bits out. Isn’t that just amazing? Honestly, it just cleans all your seals.”
With a dishmatic costing just £1.50 in Tesco, it works out as a cheap hack and can be reused.
Hazel and business parter Claire Jenkins run their own laundrette and shop in Moffat, Dumfriesshire, called The Laundry Room.
The duo are also a viral sensation on TikTok (@theweescottycleaners) thanks to their cleaning hacks – with their videos earning them millions of views.
Speaking of their hard work, Hazel said: “We get asked to clean all over the country. But we don’t have time for that right now.
“People always ask us to clean their windows, skirting boards and showers. And their oven.
“But people don’t understand how we can get their showers and windows so clean and streak-free.”
