Foodie shares genius recipe to make a delicious chocolate mousse – with just ONE ingredient
MOST recipes require time, effort and a whole load of ingredients.
But one woman has shared a genius recipe for a delicious chocolate mousse – that you make with just ONE ingredient.
Bethany Cameron took to her TikTok page to share a video of herself creating the dessert, as she said: “If you blend water and chocolate, you can create this light, fluffy, airy chocolate mousse”.
All you need to do is blend chocolate chips with water for around two minutes, until it’s “creamy and smooth”.
She added that the chocolate should be “completely disintegrated”, and the water should “double in volume”, adding that there shouldn’t be “any clumps”.
“Pour it in a bowl and refrigerate overnight,” she said.
“The next day you have chocolate mousse!”
In the caption, Bethany wrote: “This is something you must try tonight! And all you need are chocolate chips.
“The sweetness of the mousse all depends on the type of chocolate you use, so you can go sugar free, keto, paleo, etc.”
People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “If this works & I can use sugar free chips, the chocoholic in me will be forever grateful.”
“It will work,” the woman replied.
“You kill it every time!” a third praised.
“Wow, one of my favorites. So easy. I will definitely make this..thanks,” another commented.
“WOW thanks. even I can do that,” someone else wrote.
“I am very impressed by this,” another admitted.
“Looks delish!” someone else said.
Another called it “sorcery”, while someone else wrote: “That’s so clever!
“Always looking for lower carb foods so I will try this.”
“You have the best recipes – and I can’t cook!” another laughed.
Not everyone was impressed by the recipe though, with many insisting it would just taste like “watery chocolate”.
“Oh for gods sake,” one wrote.
“So basically chocolate water?” another questioned.
“You have airy bitter s**t,” a third raged.
“I’m telling you right now this is not a good idea,” someone else insisted.
“That’s disgusting,” another said.
“Ok but that’s 2 ingredients,” someone else argued.
But another hit back, writing: “It’s standard convention in baking recipes to not include water as an ingredient because they assume you have access to it”.
Others came up with their own ways to customise the recipe, such as replacing the water with milk and adding protein powder.
“Add raw cacao to this, it’s mega nutritious and good for your enamel!
“Save your teeth,” one person wrote.
Bethany often shares super easy recipes on her Lilsipper social media pages, with many of them using minimal ingredients.
Examples include her two-ingredient cottage cheese bread, and two-ingredient fudge cake.
