Rebekah Vardy rushed to hospital after horror accident saw her dragged along ground by horse
REBEKAH Vardy was rushed to hospital following a horrific horse riding accident.
The wife of Leicester City striker Jamie was thrown from her saddle and dragged along the ground after her left foot got caught in a stirrup.
Rebekah, 41, was taken to accident and emergency for treatment after the freak incident in Leicestershire on Friday.
A pal said Rebekah had broken her left heel in the accident, as well as fracturing part of her foot in the process.
They said: “Becky was riding a horse close to her home in Leicester when it got spooked and threw her from the saddle.
“Her foot got caught in the stirrup and she was dragged along the ground while it was spinning in circles.

“Becky was taken to hospital and after X-rays was told she’d broken the heel on her left foot.
“Other bones in the foot are fractured too and she’s got a bit of ligament damage.
“Becky is a confident rider but this accident left her pretty badly shaken.”
After receiving treatment Rebekah was sent home with her foot in a boot – similar to the one worn by her nemesis Coleen Rooney during the Wagatha Christie libel trial.
Coleen, 37, had to wear the surgical boot throughout the court case after breaking her toe.
The friend added: “Becky is aware of the similarities to Coleen and laughed about it.
“The shoe, or rather the boot, really is on the other foot now.
“Jamie is taking good care of her and she’s hoping to have the boot taken off in a few weeks.”
The accident happened shortly after Rebekah returned from a holiday with children.
She flew out of the country as Coleen’s Disney documentary about the Wagatha saga aired.
In the three-part documentary Coleen was seen giving her side of the story.
She issued a warning to Rebekah, saying on camera: “Don’t play games with a girl who can play better.”
Rebekah lost her libel action against Coleen last summer.
She went on to trademark the phrase “Wagatha Christie” – a phrase that was coined back in 2019 after Coleen’s now infamous tweet – in a bid to stop people cashing in on the scandal.
