Big Brother fans complain to Ofcom over Paul’s ‘transphobic remark’ – as they accuse ITV of ‘a cover up’
BIG Brother fans have demanded that Ofcom step in over Paul Blackburn’s “transphobic comment” about Hallie Clarke.
Viewers claimed the 23-year-old was overheard making a controversial remark about trans woman Hallie, 18, on last night’s Big Brother live stream.
A viewer took a screenshot of the alleged moment during last night’s live feed[/caption] Hallie was evicted from the house on Friday night[/caption]Now they’ve complained to the TV regulator after being left furious over Paul‘s alleged slur.
Writing on social media, one said: “report paul to ofcom !!”
Another said: “@Ofcom is transphobia ok in the BB house??!”
And a third added: “@itv this is not acceptable and you should send out an apology @ofcom.”
After the House was decorated for Halloween, Paul apparently appeared to mock his evicted co-star by naming a skeleton in the garden, which had been given oranges as breasts and something else attached to resemble a penis, after her.
One viewer posted a snap of the alleged moment on social media.
Explaining what they’d witnessed on the live stream, someone said: “They named this skeleton Hallie and then did this to it. There’s something in between it’s legs. It doesn’t look good…
“Paul told Olivia that when Yinrun sees it she won’t like it. And they had a joke about it basically.”
Another raged: “Paul showcasing how transphobic he really is with the skeleton in the garden.”
Hallie was evicted in a shock result on Friday night, having gone up against Dylan and Trish in the public vote.
