Ariana Grande’s drummer Aaron Spears is dead at 47 as pop star reveals she’s ‘heartbroken’ by sudden tragedy
ARIANA Grande’s drummer Aaron Spears has been announced dead at age 47.
Aaron’s widow, Jessica, released a statement online.
Aaron Spears is dead at the age of 47[/caption]In her Instagram post, the drummer’s wife stated: “It is with my heavy heart and overwhelming sadness that I share the news of the passing of my beloved husband.”
Jessica continued: “Aaron was not only an incredibly accomplished drummer admired by many for his unparalleled passion for music, but he was also a devoted father to our precious son, August.”
She concluded: “Please remember Aaron for the incredible person he was and the amazing music he brought into the world.
“At this time, we ask for privacy as we work our way through this.”
Ariana, 30, commented on the lengthy message: “Heartbroken.
“My condolences to you all. I love you guys and I am so sorry.
The pop singer closed: “My heart is with you.”
Aaron’s tragic death came after the Thank U Next hitmaker finalized the end of her marriage to ex-husband Dalton Gomez.
At the beginning of October, yhe pop star went through the legal process once the divorce papers were filed in court.
According to TMZ, the divorce was cut and dry due to an iron-clad prenup agreement between the couple.
Ariana wrote her ex a check for $1,250,000, which will be completely tax-free.
Daton will be getting all of the money upfront, but he will not receive any additional financial support afterward.
He will eventually receive half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles mansion.
$25,000 of her ex’s attorney fees will be covered by the Sam & Cat alum.
A source told the outlet: “There is still a strong mutual love and respect between Ariana and Dalton and they wanted to make sure everything was done right in lockstep with one another.”
