Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2023 Updates — Kate Bush tells fans she ‘won’t be able to attend’ 38th induction ceremony
With induction night just hours away, Kate Bush has confirmed that she will not be attending tonight’s ceremony without giving a reason.
The musician and actress was recently rocketed back into pop culture by her Running Up That Hill song’s use in Stranger Things.
“I am completely blown away by this huge honour – an award that sits in the big beating heart of the American music industry.
Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. I never imagined I would be given this wonderful accolade,” she began an open letter posted on her website.
She concluded: “Music is at the core of who I am and, like all musicians, being on the journey of trying to create something musically interesting is rife with feelings of doubt and insecurity.
I’m only five foot three, but today I feel a little taller.”
You can tune into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction live tonight on Disney+ with audio streaming on Apple Music 1 starting at 8pm EST.
