A PURSUER of the good life has achieved it by buying a 12 x 30 shed for $6,500.
He and his partner turned it into a house that is far removed from any notion of a backyard structure.
Screaming rustic charm, people have become obsessed with the greenhouse bathroom and pool.
The arrangement of this was most unusual.
John & Fin (@belovedcabin) have chronicled their “our off-grid solutions,” to their 143,000 followers on TikTok.
Their journey has whetted the appetite for many and this post was no different.
It exploded on the TikTok-sphere with over 319,000 likes and nearly 2,000 comments.
“It’s 12 years since we started this journey and it’s still going,” they said.
“From a 12 x 30 shed to our home today.” This, however, was no longer any ordinary shed.
As the camera panned around their space, the transformation was mind-blowing.
It ticked all the boxes for classic country-style living, including wooden floors and folksy furnishings: “Spent $6,000 DIY inside,” they said.
But the highpoint was the kitchen and bathroom – and the outside pool – and fans could not get enough.
“Added greenhouse kitchen this year, $6,000,” explaining they did some of the work themselves, and their stunning greenhouse bathroom cost them $1,500.
They saved money along the way by using used and salvaged materials.
The kitchen resembled a greenhouse because it was flooded with light, and the whole ceiling comprised of window panels.
At the far end was the most novel feature yet: a vegetable patch.
Outside, they even had a pool – it was blissful.
They deliberately chose to set up their home in the middle of Geogia: “It does not get unbearably hot here. It has mild summers and mild winters and a year-long growing season.”
The bathroom had tropical jungle vibes.
A bath tub was surrounded by green, lush, huge plants battling for space.
Many of the commenters agreed, this was one gorgeous home.
“Omg, that greenhouse kitchen and bath. Great job. Beautiful home,” was a view echoed by many more viewers.
Another said: “That greenhouse kitchen is insane. Wow.”
“Okay obsessed with that kitchen and bathroom,” admitted this person.
Only good times in a house like that figured this fan: “Place just reeks of happiness.”
