Actress accusing Russell Brand of ‘sexually assaulting her on Arthur film set’ claims she was ‘used and abused’ by star
AN actress who accuses Russell Brand of sexually assaulting her on the set of Arthur says she was “used and abused” by the comedian.
The woman, named ‘Jane Doe’ in legal documents, says Brand first exposed himself to her in full view of cast and crew.
She alleges later that day he came into the bathrooms she was in and assaulted her.
The woman says he did this while “a member of the production crew guarded the door from outside”.
She alleges Brand “appeared intoxicated” during the alleged attack in 2010.
He also smelt “of alcohol” and was “carrying a bottle of vodka on set” in New York, court documents filed in the city allege.
The woman told The Sunday Times: “I felt used and abused. Disgusting is the only word.”
“I felt like I was being used, that I was just an object for his momentary titillation.”
In court documents, the woman says she “suffered and continues to suffer extreme embarrassment, shame and fear” from the assault.
Arthur, which stars Helen Mirren, sees Brand play Arthur Bach, a wealthy, alcoholic philanderer forced by his mum to a marry an unsuitable woman.
The newly reported alleged assault is the latest in a string of allegations against Brand, 48.
It follows an investigation by The Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches in which four women claim the actor sexually assaulted them between 2006 and 2013.
One alleges she was raped up against a wall at his Los Angeles home in 2012.
Brand denies all of the allegations.
Warner Bros Pictures, which distributed Arthur was also named as a defendant – along with other companies involved in the film production.
They were accused of negligence and of aiding and abetting Brand by tolerating his misconduct on the set.
It comes as the Sunday Mirror reports how Brand has raked in up to £350,000 from his video rants since being accused of rape.
