I bought my FOUR-year-old a £1.2k Louis Vuitton bag… it’s an investment but trolls accuse me of raising a ‘spoiled brat’
A MUM who splashed out on a £1,240 Louis Vuitton bag for her four-year-old has been accused of turning the tot into a “spoiled brat” by cruel trolls.
Christi wanted to get daughter Noelle a bag that she could use forever, so hit a local shopping centre with a little girl to look through the options.
In a video on her TikTok page, Christi said: “We went to this mall that has a bunch of different designer stores – there’s Prada, Dior, Louis Vuitton.
“We let her look around a bit to decide if she really wanted a Louis Vuitton or if she wanted something else.”
While Noelle loved the Gucci wallets, and also set her sights on a black Dior bag, she still insisted she wanted to go for a Vuitton.
“Everything in here was so beautiful, and I knew it was going to be hard to choose just the one,” Christi said.
“There were so many unique bags, like those ones at the top with the dots all over it, and I love all the different shapes.
“We wanted to get her one that would last forever – that’s why we like investing in these bags. Plus the prices of them always go up.
“Overall it was so hard to choose but I think the one we got is absolutely perfect for her, and it’s something to wear forever.”
In another video, Christi showed Noelle “unboxing” the bag, as she said: “There were literally so many options at the store, so it was so hard to pick one, but this is the one that she chose.
“I think it’ll be one that will be great for when she gets older, too.
“It’s kind of big for her right now, but it’s definitely something she can use forever.”
She decided on the Speedy 30, with dark brown straps that Christi thought wouldn’t get as dirty.
Toting the bag on her shoulder, a delighted Noelle told her parents: “I’m gonna put inside toys!”
But trolls were quick to hit the comments section to blast Christi for the purchase.
“Sorry, why does an actual kid have a bag worth more than my yearly rent payments?” one wrote.
“Make it make sense.”
“Is this a joke?” another questioned.
“How to raise a spoiled brat,” a third commented.
“Nah, she’s so b**ody young, and you’re getting her a LV bag? What the hell, this is insane and ridiculous,” someone else added.
“I’m sick of b**ody social media,” another raged.
“Wait, my name’s Noelle, can I be next?” someone else joked.
“I’m sorry but I don’t think a four-year-old needs a Louis Vuitton bag, but it’s your choice,” another said.
Some people pointed out that Louis Vuitton have changed their boxes from the old brown ones to new orange ones.
With Christi revealing that they’d actually decided to buy one they’d found in the vintage section – hence the older box.
And others defended the mum for deciding to buy her daughter such as expensive gift.
“I loveeeeeee that you did this for her,” one wrote.
“Literally me as a mum,” another gushed.
As a third commented: “You can buy whatever from your hard earned money and it’s amazing.”
“Love this for you guys!” someone else said.
