Harry Styles living in eye-wateringly expensive hotel while major building works take place to build £50m mega mansion
POP superstar Harry Styles is living in a £2,500-a-night hotel while major building works take place at his home.
Harry, 29, has spent hundreds of thousands over the past few months living out of a suitcase in the central London location while builders transform his property.
Workers are linking two houses he owns to create a £50million monster mansion in North London, sources said.
One added: “Harry has understandably kept a wide berth from his pad while the major works are under way, and has checked in to a lavish hotel while in London. His girlfriend Taylor has been staying with him.
“They keep a low profile, popping out for coffees and snacks, and cycling around London like tourists.”
The building works could take as long as two years to complete — much to the frustration of well-heeled neighbours, who include TV star couple Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty.
Harry has been keen to transform his home after buying three properties, all within close proximity.
After a traumatic stalker ordeal, safety and security has been his number one priority.
The Sun revealed in 2019 how Harry snapped up a £10million colonial-style pad.
He already owned homes nearby worth £2.95million and £8.8million.
He planned to create a fortress with a “panic room” by buying the neighbouring homes overlooking an open space so he feels safe.
Harry also employed three security guards to protect him and his properties 24/7, and set up £4,000 cameras that trigger any alarms direct to his phone.
He saved a fortune on the security personnel as they were paid for through his insurance policy because he had endured a “threat to life”.
A court heard how Harry employs a night guard, locks his bedroom door at night and assesses his home for weak spots following his stalker nightmare.
Homeless Pablo Tarazaga-Orero, 26, was given a restraining order preventing him from approaching Harry and banning him from going within 250 metres of him or any of his gigs.
He staked out Harry’s London home and tried to approach him when he went jogging during the two-month campaign. At Hendon magistrates court, Harry told him: “Get help. I don’t want to see you ever again.”
Last year the infatuated stalker was detained under the Mental Health Act following another incident.
Harry joked in an interview how he has to keep his upstairs curtains at his current home closed because fans were ogling him from the top deck of a bus that stopped outside his house.
He once walked out of a shower and spotted a group of girls gawping at him through binoculars from the bus.
Harry, worth more than £50million, has been approached for comment.
