Inside 55-year-old Jenny Powell’s age-defying bikini body routine – from yoga to bone broth
RECENT pictures of Jenny Powell soaking up the sun in a bikini on a Marbella beach sent the internet into meltdown.
And there was just one question on everyone’s lips as she enjoyed her Winter break – how does the 55-year-old continue to defy age?
The former Wheel of Fortune presenter displayed her enviable physique and washboard abs in a pink patterned two-piece as she took a dip in the sea.
And it’s far from the first time she’s rendered fans almost speechless with her swimwear snaps, as Jenny has been known to share them on social media.
Whenever she does, she’s inundated with comments from fans, describing her and her body as “gorgeous” and “fitter than ever.”
Nodding to this, the mum-of-two has previously opened up about how she’s slimmer now than she was when she was in her twenties – and has even been mistaken as her daughter’s sister.
The star has also revealed she has gone from a size 12 to a size 8, as she lifted the lid on the ways she continues to turn back the clock.
Jenny, who is engaged to Martin Lowe, previously confessed: “I’m smaller now. And I certainly wasn’t as flexible.
“At 20 I was just flailing around – hopping on board the latest craze for six weeks.”
But, nowadays, rather than following fad diets and short lived trends, Jenny follows a healthier lifestyle in every way.
So what are Jenny’s bikini body secrets, including her exercise regime and eating habits?
Jenny previously explained: “Just say no to diets. They never work long-term as far as I’m concerned, and make you even more obsessed with food.”
Instead, Jenny has come up with a routine that fits her busy lifestyle, including her favoured exercises, such as strength training.
She continued: “I lift, squat, use kettlebells, and go to yoga twice a week to stay flexible.”
The radio presenter, who lives in Cheshire, has expanded upon her love of her hour-long early morning yoga sessions, describing them as something she “can’t live out.”
But she also likes to mix things up from time to time and said that outdoor workouts and even kitchen dance parties kept her going during lockdown and beyond.

When it comes to her diet, Jenny has a similarly positive attitude.
She previously said: “I always have organic food and make a day of it at the farmers market … grass-fed beef only, lots of fish and organic chicken.
“We have lots of fermented/unpasturised foods like kombucha, kefir, pickles and sourdough. Organic eggs are a staple and no sweet fizzy drinks or sugar.”
Jenny – who says she prefers to cook well-balanced dishes at home as opposed to buying ready meals – also favours foods such as homemade soup or a hearty stew with rice and vegetables.
But she has another secret weapon up her sleeve – none other than bone broth.
The dish is made up of a savoury liquid made of water in which meat, fish or vegetables have been simmered for a short period of time, and Jenny explained that it’s been a total game changer for her.

Speaking last year, she revealed: “As I’ve grown older, I’ve become more aware of clean eating; so what goes into my body or onto the family dinner table needs to be healthy and nutritious.
“The menopause left me exhausted, but including bone broth into my diet helps me keep up my active lifestyle, run around after my daughters and boost my mood.”
She added in an interview “It improves my gut health, which leads to improvements in my fitness.”
Her diet and enjoyment of exercise combined have led to Jenny looking – and more importantly feeling – better than ever.
Summing up how she does it, the star told Bella Magazine that this all has a positive impact, and can roll back the years in other ways too.
She explained: “I do look after myself. I sleep a lot – so yoga and sleep. I don’t drink loads and I don’t smoke.
“But, also, I have treats. You have to work at it, and if you’re positive and smile, it doesn’t half help with your face.”
