Starbucks releases reusable Christmas cup collection including a festive Stanley collab – but not everyone’s impressed
STARBUCKS has released its reusable Christmas cup collection – but not everyone’s impressed by the selection.
The coffee giant has dropped a number of red, purple and pink tumblers, ceramic cups, bottles and mugs.
Offered as “serveware”, Starbucks fans can pick up over 20 designs in their local eatery.
But not everyone is impressed by the offering.
Shoppers have moaned about both the pricing of the cups and dubbed them not Christmassy enough.
Rather than snowflakes, Santa hats and yuletide symbols, Starbucks has focused on glistening, textured and bright designs.
The Red Bling Cold Cup 16oz is set to be a best-seller at £17.45, and you can pick up a gold version for £21.45.
Among the other cups with straws are a geometric purple one for £28.45, a double-lined red one for £23.95 and basic red designs for £5.45.
There’s also tumblers designed to keep your coffee hot, priced between £22.95 and £29.45.
“Is it wrong that I wanted them to be more Christmas or winter themed?” one shopper questioned.
“State of the prices,” another moaned.
Shoppers have also expressed frustration at not being able to find Starbucks’ collaboration with viral cup maker, Stanley.
The TikTok-loved brands have partnered on a metallic red version of Stanley’s classic 40-ounce double-walled stainless steel ‘Quencher’ style tumbler.
Starbucks bosses haven’t released any official information about this merchandise drop yet, leaving people speculating about when and where to get one.
In the US, the collaboration cups have been found for $49.95, suggesting they will be sold for around £40 in the UK.
