Evan Ellingson dead at 35: Former child star dies at sober-living home in California after ‘struggle with drugs’
ACTOR Evan Ellingson has been announced dead at 35.
The former child actor died at his home in San Bernardino, California.
On Sunday, TMZ reported that his body was discovered in his bedroom, according to the coroner’s office.
The exact circumstances of his death are unclear at this point.
Officials told the outlet that there appears to be no foul play involved.
Evan’s father, Michael Ellingson, shared with the publication that his son had been struggling with drugs in the past.
The actor seemed to be “better of late,” but his sudden death is a complete shock to the grieving family.
Evan’s brother, Austin Ellingson, also died of a drug overdose in 2008, according to IMDB.
That same year, the Kyle Savage star welcomed his daughter, Brooklynn Ellingson.
HIS LEGACY
In 2007, Evan became a breakout star when he was cast in the sixth season of 24 as Josh Bauer, nephew of Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer.
The same year, he appeared on the sixth season of CSI: Miami as Kyle Harmon, the estranged son of David Caruso’s Horatio Cane.
In 2009, Evan jumped into film and co-starred in Cameron Diaz’s family drama, My Sister’s Keeper.
‘MY CHILDHOOD’
In July 2009, the General Hospital alum spoke to Philstar Global about getting in show business at the age of ten.
He said: “I never had the same childhood experience with my friends.
“I never had more time with them. However, my childhood was a cool one. I was busy doing the things I love.
Evan closed with: “I had no regrets because I found my passion for acting early on.”
