Shania Twain tour bus crashes in Canada with crew rushed to hospital after vehicle rolled off the side of icy highway
CREW members working on Shania Twain’s tour have been hospitalized after a brutal highway wreck in Canada.
The country pop star was traveling between Winnipeg and Saskatoon, which are about 500 miles apart, when the crash happened on Wednesday.
Twain, 58, was not on the bus at the time and is currently safe, People reported.
The wreck involved a bus and a truck, according to a statement from Twain’s management obtained by the outlet.
“Multiple vehicles encountered dangerous driving conditions due to inclement weather,” the statement says.
“Members of the production crew who require medical attention have been taken to nearby hospitals.
“We are incredibly thankful to the emergency services teams for their quick response and ongoing support.
“We ask for patience as we look after our touring family.”
Twain is currently traveling for her Queen Is Me tour, which began in Washington State in April.
Since then Twain has traveled across North America and Europe.
The musician is scheduled to play Saskatoon’s SaskTel Center on Thursday night.
