I forked out £160 on my granddaughter’s first birthday ‘fairy’ cake & it turned out to be a horror show
A WOMAN has expressed her anger after ordering her granddaughter’s first birthday cake, only for it to look nothing like the inspo picture.
Khrissy explained how she forked out £162 ordering a fairy-inspired cake for her granddaughter’s first milestone birthday.
In the clip posted to TikTok (@khrissyjoe1), she shared a snap of the cake that she’d asked for, versus the one she was presented with – and it’s fair to say the two look totally different.
Instead of the sweet forest, fairy and woodland themed design, many pointed out that Khrissy’s version looked like it was made with “Play-Dough,” with no theme visible at all.
“This was supposed to be my granddaughter’s first birthday cake,” Khrissy says.
“I spent well over £162 on this cake, and this is what I got.
“This is the worst cake I’ve ever seen in my life.
“And when I asked and told the woman that I was highly upset about it, she said, ‘well, I will admit that it was a lot harder than what I thought it would be.'”

Picking up the flowers on the cake, Khrissy goes on to point out how they’re real and not fake.
“They’re supposed to be fondant,” she says.
“I’m so upset…and not to mention there was hair in the cake.”
A fuming Khrissy captioned the post: “My granddaughter first birthday cake was a disaster. I was so upset so let down.
“This cake was supposed to be a representation of my granddaughter. she loves fairies and has loved them since she was 3 months old.”
It wasn’t long before the post went viral, garnering a whopping 2.7 million views and several comments from social media users.
“You pay and why did you accept it?” asked one.
A second penned: “I was wondering what the lump on top was…and it’s a mushroom.”
A third noted: “A 4 tier cake being only £162 is insane to me…that would be at least double where I’m from.”
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “That sounds like a friend seeing that picture of a 1200 dollar cake and saying I can do that for 200 bucks.”
Another joked: “It looks like play doh.”
A further added: “Memories forever! lol.”
And one more chimed in: “Things like this make the best funny memories when the grand baby is older!”
